Graphic Options

The computers we use are PC platform, running Adobe Illustrator 10, Corel Draw 11, and Adobe Photoshop 7.0. We also have Corel Photo-Paint 8. We accept any art files that can be imported into any of these programs.

If you are scanning images to send, scan at 400 to 600 dpi. This will produce excellent results. Try to keep the file size under 1.5 meg. You can also compress the file using WinZip and we will unzip at our end. If you find that you need some help in getting your image to us just call. 1 (800) 755-0377

If you are sending art to be screen printed, we prefer vector type art files. These are files that have been created in programs like Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, and Macromedia Freehand.

If you send us Corel Draw (.cdr) files. Please convert all text to curves, prior to sending them. To do this select each row of text and from the "Arrange Menu" click on "Convert To Curves."

If you are an Adobe Illustrator user, please save your files as Illustrator EPS files.   Also convert all text to OUTLINES.  This can be done simply by selecting the text and choosing the "Create Outlines" selection under the "Type" menu. It is very important that you do this, as we may not have your fonts on any of our computers.

Screen Ready Art: This is art that you might have had from a previous job, or art that has previously been done by, or for you. Screen ready art needs to be on film positives. Upon receipt of the positives we will inspect the art and advise you of any possible problems we foresee. We retain the right to refuse any artwork not generated in-house. The positives need to be actual print size. An art charge will be incurred for any touchup needed.

If sending halftone images, keep in mind our maximum l.p.i. Capability for printing on garments is 55 lines per inch.

You can send us artwork files via e-mail to e-mail@crystalclearlogos.com or floppy disks that are PC readable.

We use scanners with 600 dpi optical (9600 interpolated) resolution.   We output through 1200 dpi PostScript printers for creating positives for screen printing.

We also accept simple artwork by fax and can often make it printable through computer recreation methods.

We can also accommodate those individuals supplying hand drawn artwork, through scanning, photocopying, and computer enhancement.

Remember, if you have any questions regarding artwork, please send us an e-mail or call
1 (800) 755-0377. We'll be happy to help you.
