Q: Why
is the per shirt price higher on a 12 shirt
order than on a 100 shirt order?
A: No
matter what the quantity, 12 shirts or 1,200 shirts,
it takes us the same amount of time to prep and set
up your order. The cost of this is spread out over
the number of shirts. It's really just simple division,
if the prep and set up cost is divided by 12, it will
be higher than if divided by 1,200.
Q: Can you make one shirt?
A: Our minimum garment
order is 12. If I told what it would cost to print 1 shirt you would
laugh at me.
Q: Why is the price
on 12 shirts so much higher then 1000?
A: No
matter what the quantity, 12 shirts or 1,200 shirts,
it takes us the same amount of time to prep and
set up your order. The cost of this is spread out
over the number of shirts. It's really just simple
division, if the prep and set up cost is divided
by 12, it will be higher than if divided by 1,200.
Q: Can
I order youth size shirts and
adult size shirts with the same
design?
A. Yes,
but you have to keep
in mind that the design
is sized to the smallest
shirt. This means that
if your order consists
of youth small shirts
and adult extra large
shirts, the design
will be sized to the
youth shirt, around
9 inches wide. If there
were only adult shirts
the design would be
in-between 12 to 13
inches wide.
Q: Why
does it cost more to print on dark colored shirts?
A:
It all comes down to the thickness of the ink. Screen
printing ink is somewhat transparent (see-through).
Where it would only take 1 layer of black ink to cover
an area of a white shirt, it takes two layers of white
ink to cover the same area on a black shirt. To do
this we have to semi-cure the first layer of ink. In
plain English, we have to print white ink twice, which
doubles our print time.
Q: How long will it
take to finish my order?
A: The
standard answer to this question is
2 weeks. We will also do our best to
finish your order as fast as possible
if you need it by a certain date. We
have met deadlines as short as 24 hours.
The best thing about this is that we
do not charge for rush order, (we can
either do it or not). Call to see if
we are able to meet your deadline.
Q: How
can I lower the cost of my
shirts?
A: The
two main
price factors
in printing
is the
quantity
of garments
and the
number
of design
colors.
If you
raise the
number
of shirts
you buy
at one
time and
lower the
number
of colors
in your
design
you could
lower the
per shirt
cost by
$3 or more.
Q: Can
I get a copy of my design on
a disk to use for other printing.
A: Yes,
as long as you
have paid full
price for the
designing of
your art, this
includes art
prep and the
per hour design
charge, we will
provide you with
a high quality
computer file
that can be used
for any type
of printing.
Q: Can
I bring in my own garments to be printed?
A: With the
exception of our contract customers we learned a long
time ago that printing on garments purchased outside
of our shop "brings pain." The main reason
for this is quality control, and the loss of the ability
to purchase extra, incase of a problem with the printing.
Q: Do
you create art?
A: We
have two full time artists
and a full time digitizer.
With over 20 years of combined
experience, we have the
ability to create just
about anything you can
think of.
Q: Can
I bring
in
my
own
art?
A: We
encourage all of our customers
to at least bring in a sketch
of what they would like.
We have use as little as
a bar napkin and as much
as image set film to process
the art. The more you bring
us the easier it will be
to make you happy. We also
except plain old fashioned
ideas and work from there.
Q: Do
you have screen charges?
A: This
is were most people get confused and tricked. We do not
charged separately for screens. We have taken the time
to work all of the extra charges most companies charge
separately, into one price. We have also stream lined
these cost factors to be considerable lower then most
companies. If you are comparing our prices with other
companies remember to divide the total amount of screen
charges by the number of shirts you are ordering and
add that cost to each shirt. You might be surprised to
learn that when a sales person tells you that your per
shirt cost is $7, after screen charges equals $9.
Q: Do
you digitize?
A: Yes, we a full
time digitizer, and a state of the art digitizing program
that can even convert files made for screen printing
into embroidery designs. Every thing is done in-house
to maintain the highest quality.
Q: Can
you use a file I provide for embroidery?
A: If
you are talking about a
design idea on a file it
will still need to be digitized.
Q: I
had
my
logo
digitized
at
another
embroiderer,
can
you
use
it?
A: Sure,
but here is what we need.
The file needs to be a pulse
file, dos condensed, or a
Tajima file. If this makes
no sense to you or the other
company looks at you funny,
give us a call. Remember
if you paid for digitizing
the file is yours.
Q: Can
I use other
people’s
art in my
design? i.e..
(cartoon
characters)
A: That
a
very
big
NO.
When
companies
have
artist
draw
characters
or
designs
they
tend
to
be
very
adamant
about
copyrights.
Although
some
places
will
copy
a
design
and
print
it
right
up
for
you
we
will
shy
away
from
this.
The
alternative
is
to
have
our
artist,
who
is
a
great
cartoonist
and
design,
make
you
a
design
with
a
similar
flavor.
Q: Do
you
air
brush?
A: No,
but
we
can
put
you
in
touch
with
an
artist
who
does
great
work.

Q: Do
you
sell
letterman
jackets?
A: Sorry
but
no.
Q: Do
you
save
the
screens
used
for
my
design?
A: In
the
old
days
most
screen
printers
would
keep
screens
so
they
would
not
have
to
make
them
twice
if
there
was
a
reorder.
Now
days
with
only
a
few
exceptions
it's
more
economical
to
reuse the
same
screen
over
and
over
again.
The
film
positives
are
stored
incase
of
a
reorder.
The
savings
is
passed
to
the
customers.
Q: Can
you
make
patches?
A: Making
patches
takes
a
special
machine
that
we
do
not
have.
We
can
do
the
design
work
and
digitizing
then
recommend
a
company
who
can
make
the
patches.
Q: What is the difference between an art prep. charge,
and an art design charge?
A: Art prep is the process the art department has to go through
to get your design from the computer file, to a film positive. Art design
is taking your ideas, sketches, or pictures and making it into a logo
or design. They both are a one time charge.
Q: What
does it take to start an order?
A: Here's
the short list. We need to know what type of garment
you will be ordering and what color. We need your logo,
design ideas, or finished art. And last but not least
we need a 50% deposit. If your having problems deciding
on a particular garment you can also choose to put a
deposit down on the art design and just start there.
The approval of your artwork usually takes the longest.
Q: Can
I buy shirts with no printing on them?
A: Yes,
we have had customers who just wanted to buy garments
without printing on them. Some customers have just wanted
to have their group wearing the same color t-shirt. Remember
the more shirts you buy, the better the price.
Q: How
do I pay?
A: We
love customer who pay with cash, but most people pay
by check, visa, and master card. We do not accept American
Express. All orders are to be paid in full upon picking
up your finished garments.
