On
the surface some shops might seem like they charge
less then we do,but do they? When I hear that antother
shop is charging less money,I always check to make sure
prices are being compared properly. One trick to confuse
a buyer into thinking they are getting a better deal
is to split up the print or embroidery cost into 2 or
more prices . Here is an example,
12
T-shirts cost $4.50 each,
2 color front print cost $2.00each,
The shirt is a dark color so you will pay $.25 per shirt for a flash charge,
And the big cost is screen charges, normally $25.00 per color or $50 total.
Now
when you look at the print cost and the shirt cost it
looks like your paying $6.50 per shirt. This is the price
we are sometimes compared to. But do not forget the other
charges that usually end up at the bottom of your quote,
the flash charge, and screen charge. When you add these
to the overall cost of the order you end up with is a
$10.92 shirt.
At
Crystal Clear Logos we decided to simplify the process
to, a garment charge and a print charge only. We do not
hit you with a screen charge, flash charge, handling
charge, or a folding charge separately like some companies.
So next time you are out pricing around make sure you’re
comparing apples to apples and not apples to oranges.
